Some building projects are a labor of love and that is the best way to describe this home and guest house. The labor on this project paid off as the home won the 2013 Tahoe Quarterly Craftsmanship award and the 2013 TRPA Best in the Basin Award. The property development was a team effort between the owners, the designer, Sandbox Studios, and Loverde Builders. The total design continued to evolve while we were building the project and widened to encompass the furniture designers and landscape and stream designer as well. This home is totally modern with a Tahoe feel to blend the old and the new tastes of today’s families.
