This recently completed home located in Lahontan was designed by Faulkner Architects from Truckee, CA. Although the pictures would lead the viewer to believe that this is a mountain modern cabin, it is actually a 3,969 sq. ft. house. Lahontan is a community with strict architectural guidelines which following the traditional Old Tahoe style of building which is known for steeply roofed homes with many small windows and cozy, rustic interior spaces. This owner wanted that feeling on the exterior coupled with the clean, open lines associated with today’s Mountain Modern architecture.
