On Waters Edge

The name “On Waters Edge” speaks for itself with this elegant triple-level lakefront home located in Tahoma, CA. The goal of this home was to link the living areas to the awe-inspiring view of Lake Tahoe. The site of this home is incredibly steep which constituted the need for multiple levels and an elevator. The homeowner wanted several bedroom suites for the extended family, and an outside gathering area to relax and admire Tahoe’s beauty. The main floor of the home provides for all the family gathering areas, and the two lower levels have bedrooms/bunk areas. The lowest level connects to a spa terrace and stone steps to the private pier. Rusting metal siding blends with more conventional wood and stone to add a little spice to the architecture. Our favorite feature is the ridgeline skylight on the main level which allows for an extended view and outdoor feel, even while cozied up next to the fire or enjoying a meal at the dining room table.
